If you are missing one or more teeth, a dental bridge can literally “bridge the gap” in your smile. At Traditions Dental, we provide custom-made bridges that look, feel, and function like your natural teeth, helping you eat, speak, and smile with confidence.

What is a Dental Bridge?

A dental bridge is a fixed (non-removable) appliance and is an excellent device to replace missing teeth. There are several types of bridges. You and your dentist will discuss the best options for your particular case. The "traditional bridge" is the most popular type and is usually made of porcelain fused to metal.

Why Choose a Dental Bridge?

Replacing missing teeth is essential for your oral health and facial structure. A bridge offers several key advantages:

What to Expect in Getting a Dental Bridge?

While the teeth are numb, the two anchoring teeth are prepared by removing a portion of enamel to allow for a crown.

We select a custom shade of composite resin to match your natural teeth.

A temporary bridge will be made and worn for several weeks until your next appointment.

At the second visit, your permanent bridge will be carefully checked, adjusted, and cemented to achieve a proper fit.

Proper Care for Your Bridge

You will receive care instructions at the conclusion of your treatment. Proper brushing, flossing, and regular dental visits will aid in the life of your new permanent bridge.

While dental bridges are highly durable, the long-term success depends on the health of the surrounding teeth and gums.
